First in the painting series. This one is based on a fairytale about a brother and sister, cast into the forest by their cruel stepmother. Her evil magic turns the brother into a deer, and the sister must protect him from a forest full of hunters.

Wow great storytelling in this illustration. I can definitely see that the girl is absorbed in remorse, while the brother/deer is very alert to the impending danger. Well done!
