digital painting! phew!

Remember when I put up those sketches a couple posts back, with seemingly empty promises of finished pieces? Well, hah! Here's one! Fresh out of Photoshop, mostly finished but still considering a few tweaks.
This bad boy prints at 15" x 30". trust me, you don't even want to know how big the working file is.

thursday nights = pastel night.

Some figure drawings from this week and last week, two different models with very similar body types. I finally busted out the charcoal paper!

So, the models both generously offered to do some outside-of-class posing. Any of you Otis kids down for a couple model drawing sessions over summer or something? Split the rate? Also, I got a space here at the pad I'm thinking about fixing up for a weekly summer sketch group. Anybody interested? Lemme know!

I've been drawing like a madwoman lately, getting ready to do a couple paintings. Here's some sketches that are on their way to canvas... hopefully the finishes will be up within a couple weeks.
Expect another sketch post in the near future. All the drawings I was gonna post went over the maximum size limit.

landscape stuffs

So I've been working on some landscape painting stuff, I did a few color palette studies over the weekend and probably will do many, many more of these in the next couple weeks. These are acrylic, around 30-45 mins each, some longer than others. I'm hopeing these studies will eventually build up to some more finalized oil paintings... We'll see what happens.
