Sailing Through Shadows Show

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Sailing Through Shadows show at gallery 1988 in San Francisco! The show turned out awesome. And thanks must also go to everyone who helped make our trip to the bay area such a great time. Love everyone.

Now for the work! I made 7 new paintings for the show:

"Dying Breed" - 13x13

"Shadows Hunger" - 12x18

"Internal Galaxy" - 12x16

"Shadows on the Edge of Town" - 18x24

"Celestial Expanse" - 12x16

"Haunt" - 11x14

"Bloodless Veins" - 11x14

You can purchase pieces and check out the rest of the show online at Gallery 1988. Just in time for the holidays! Go forth!

ghost-eating girl for sale!

holla.
hope everyone's holidays were grand!

so the comic I illustrated earlier this year, "Our Little Ghost-Eating Girl," written by the very talented Tony Chavira, is now for sale on Indy Planet! for only 5 bucks! it's part of a larger project called Minefield Wonderland. Indy Planet has this to say about it:
"Set in China in 1945, through a freak accident a little girl is only able to survive by devouring wandering souls and comes face-to-face with the ultimate implications of her survival.
In the tradition of Warren Publishing’s “Creepy” and “Eerie”, Minefield Wonderland presents a mix of the curious and the grotesque, providing supernatural explanations for many bizarre occurrences throughout history."

Here's a couple of pages to whet your appetites:

You can pick up the comic through Indy Planet here. Also be sure to check out more of Tony's work at Minefield Wonderland. Go forth!

sailing through shadows flyer...

So Gallery 1988 is closing their San Francisco doors, and I've got 7 new paintings in their final exhibit. I'm really excited about this show and will be heading up to SF to attend the opening. Come check it out if you're in the bay area December 4th!

waystation!

So I'd had enough of dead, ratty, stuffed animals at the museum - it was time for real, pouncing, leaping, snarling ones. Yesterday I had the great privilege of another amazing trip to the Wildlife Waystation, a non-profit wildlife rescue organization specializing in exotic animals, to hang out with a pride of exceptionally lazy lions and a gorgeous, graceful beauty of a tiger.

Thanks to Gary Geraths and the wonderful volunteers at the Waystation for making the trip happen. The Waystation is a seriously amazing place, and they're operating on donations right now so be a mensch and donate a couple dollars to the Wildlife Waystation for being so awesome. Your new feline friends will appreciate it.
