The Tiger's Bride

This is the final painting in a series I recently completed. It's a Beauty and the Beast kind of story, about a girl whose father loses her to a tiger in a game of poker. The tiger wears a disguise of a man, but later he exposes his true self to the girl and asks her to do the same. In the end, he may or may not have eaten her. Awesome story!
Anyway, sorry for the poor quality on these photos, but I'm going out of town tomorrow and wanted to get a quick picture up before I leave. The original painting is pretty big so I haven't been able to scan it properly yet. So these will have to do.
Bon voyage!

The Seven Ravens

This one is based on the fairy tale about a girl whose seven brothers are transformed into ravens. The severed finger refers to a part in the story where the girl has lost the key given to her to open her brothers' cage, and has to cut off a part of her finger to use as a key instead. Wicked!

The Girl with Silver Hands

Next in the series: This painting is based on a fairytale about a man who is tricked by the devil into giving up his daughter. In order to make her 'pure,' and therefore protected from the devil, her father has to cut off his daughter's hands. Don't worry though, she gets awesome silver ones as a replacement!

Brother and Sister

First in the painting series. This one is based on a fairytale about a brother and sister, cast into the forest by their cruel stepmother. Her evil magic turns the brother into a deer, and the sister must protect him from a forest full of hunters.
